Multiple Myeloma

For some good information on this type of cancer, visit the website for the  American Cancer Society

Multiple Myelomais a cancer formed by malignant plasma cells. Normal plasma cells are found in the bone marrow and are an important part of the immune system.
Although it is a relatively uncommon cancer, there will be over 30,000 new cases of it diagnosed this year. Important research into multiple myeloma is being done in many university hospitals, medical centers, and other institutions around the world. Each year, scientists find out more about what causes the disease and how to improve treatment. Many new drugs are being tested.
I have made a miniature awareness ribbon from tiny Delica glass beads – with burgundy purple beads in the center – the color for Multiple Myeloma, bordered in white for the hope that is always there! It measures just about one inch tall, and is suspended on an 18″ silver-dipped chain.

Show your support, and wear your colors!  Only $12.00, and the shipping is included!
